My unique artworks use a combination of acrylic pallet knife painting, collage & photography to create some powerful pieces.
I am inspired by beautiful countryside, buildings, colour, water & places that I love. My painting will usually begin by taking an inspiring photograph whilst out walking, holidaying or just shopping. Beautiful buildings, waterways, boats, trees & countryside simply demand to be photographed. I take many, thank heavens for digital photography!
The next process is to find a photo that will work well with my style of pallet knife painting & collage. Selected photograph is enlarged, pixelated & often forms a part of the painting & become merged with collage, mixed media & acrylic pallet knife painting. The collage can include newspaper cuttings, tickets, wood, paper, anything that makes the picture more personal & unique! Each of my prints on canvas are hand finished.
